Brief Description:

The Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculty (APSCUF) is happy to announce “State APSCUF Scholarship”. Students who are a pursuit of either an undergraduate degree or master degree are eligible to apply. APSCUF helps to shape and prepare Pennsylvania’s future leaders.

Host Institution:

The Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF) is the bargaining unit representing faculty and coaches at the 14 universities (formerly colleges) of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). APSCUF was founded in 1937 as a professional association.

Eligibility:

To be considered for APSCUF scholarship the candidate must

  • The applicant must pursuit of either an undergraduate degree or master degree.
  • For an undergraduate degree, the applicant must have completed and passed 30 credits with at least a 2.75 GPA.
  • For a master degree, the applicant must have completed and passed nine (9) credits with at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Applicant must be a family member of an APSCUF/APSCURF member in good standing or an APSCUF staff member.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship

The Truman Foundation is seeking applications for its scholarship program named as “The Harry S. Truman Scholarship”. This merit-based scholarship is given to college students who plan to pursue careers in government or elsewhere in public service. The Foundation has supported Truman Scholars in many fields of study, from agriculture, biology, engineering, technology, medicine, and environmental management and many more.

Eligibility:

This scholarship program is applicable for:

  • A full-time junior-level student at a four-year institution pursuing a bachelor’s degree during the 2017-2018 academic year.
  • Nominated by the Truman Scholarship Faculty Representative at his or her institution.
  • In the upper quarter of his or her class; and
  • A United States citizen or the United States national from the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Resident aliens (green card holders) are not eligible.
  • Applicant has an extensive record of public and community service;
  • Applicant has outstanding leadership potential and communication skills; and
  • The applicant who is committed to a career in government or elsewhere in public service, as defined by the Foundation.
