The Schubert Club would like to announce a “Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition” program. The scholarship competition is designed for young musicians who are resident of MN, WI, SD, ND or IA or enrolled in a learning institution. The competition will provide two cash prizes ($2000 and $1500) for each category to be used for further musical education.
The Club operates the Schubert Club Museum of Musical Instruments which is located in the Landmark Center. The Schubert Club invites the world’s finest recital soloists and ensembles in their community and promotes the finest musical talents of our community to the world.
The scholarship applicant must demonstrate that he/she:
- Applicants must be a resident or enrolled in a learning institution within the 5-state region (MN, WI, SD, ND or IA).
- The applications are open to young musicians.

Application for all instruments except piano and voice must be completed by the given link:
- The Schubert Club Student Scholarship Competition, held each spring, awards a total of over $50,000 annually to young musicians to be used for further musical education.
- The scholarship comes with two cash prizes awarded for each category $2000 and $1500 to be used for further musical education.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, January 19, 2018.
