Brief Description:

First Peoples Fund in partnership with Native artists establishes “Native Artist Fellowships”. Native artists who want to strengthen their business skills through our Artist in Business Leadership Fellowship Program are invited to apply. The fellowship is designed to support, professional training, and working capital they seek to start or grow a thriving art business.

Founded in 1995, First Peoples Fund’s mission is to honor and support the Collective Spirit of First Peoples artists and culture bearers. First Peoples Fund recognizes the power of art and culture to bring about positive change in Native communities, beginning with individual artists and their families.


You are encouraged to apply if you are

  • In order to be eligible applicants must be an enrolled member or provide proof of lineal descendancy of a U.S. federally recognized tribe.
  • Applicant must be an Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian.
