Rubber Division Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society is offering two Undergraduate Scholarships and one Russell Mazzeo Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship. Applicants for these scholarships may have a major area study in chemistry, physics, chemical or mechanical engineering, polymer science or any other technical discipline relevant to the rubber industry. At the Warnell School, there is a job position available of Natural Resources Management Specialist. The candidate will provide onsite technical support to the Natural Resources conservation initiatives at Fort Jackson, SC, to include all aspects of integrated natural resources management. The candidate will assist with preparing areas for and applying prescribed fire to acreage identified in the annual prescribed fire plan at Fort Jackson, SC. Candidate will assist with post-burn evaluations and collection of fire weather data necessary for reporting requirements.

    Candidate should be able to safely operate chainsaws, ATVs and agricultural tractors and implements.
  • Candidate must be a U.S Citizen, have a current driver’s license, be able to pass a background security investigation, and have an original copy of their birth certificate.
