Brief Description:

At the University of Connecticut, the Graduate School is inviting the applications for the Vice Provost for Graduate Education: Giolas Harriott Fellowship and the Crandall Cordero Fellowship Competition. The GHF program is open to only incoming doctoral and CCF both masters and doctoral candidates.The primary goal of the GHF and CCF Fellowship is to recruit and enhance the most academically qualified and promising students entering UConn graduate programs.

Eligibility:

Applicants for the fellowship must meet each of the following requirements:

  • Applicants must enroll in masters and doctoral programs.
  • Applicants must be a United States citizen or a permanent resident to be eligible for CCF or GHF.
  • Giolas-Harriott Fellowship will accept only incoming doctoral nominees.
  • Crandall-Cordero Fellowship will accept both masters and doctoral nominees.

Applicants will the transcripts including GPA, GRE scores, their CV/resume (articles, presentations, internship, and research experience), in their personal statement, or in letters of recommendations.

Award Description:

  • The University of Connecticut will provide the award amount of $2000 for GFH summer stipend for three years.
  • Up to  $2,000 CCF summer support, guaranteed until graduation as long as student is making positive academic progress towards their degree.

The University of Connecticut (UConn) is pleased to offer a scholarship program named as “Martin Horn Scholarship”.  To be applying for the scholarship you have an active role in community outreach and/or public service projects and you must be a Communication major. The Department contributes to the community through outreach efforts, excellent teaching, and by conducting and presenting socially meaningful empirical research. Recipients of this award will contribute to this mission.
